I usually sort the results by "date added." The most recent CM recording is usually going to be the best sounding one.

Other than that, you can look at the reviews and you will see that people often mention which source sounds the best (of course sometimes people are wrong, but it can be helpful).

Other than that, I usually check out all the sources very briefly (roughly 30 seconds of the same part of the show), to compare each source back to back. It's pretty easy to hear which one sounds the best to me when I do that.

Yeah, usually I'll do it that way. But, sometimes I want to include a quick link with a post and I don't want to invest 3, 4, 5 or more minutes comparing the same sections of different streams.

Thanks for the tip on sorting by date. I'll have to poke around (and then probably still have to make a post asking for help (h,h,h)).

"Invest 3, 4 or 5 min in a post"

Exactly; I simply don't have the time to do that either. Thus, the amazing clarity of each and everyone of my posts is all the more astounding, as I spend virtually NO time thinking about them, and ALL of the time simply typing whatever comes to mind...it's also why I ignore spell checking, etc. Or, posting links--what an additional EFFORT!?

I hope this allows everyone to place a precise value on each and every one of my posts...

;)

[but, I always have time for a semi-colon and a half parenthetical; reminds me of the late SJGould]

Generally with CM recordings pay attention to the various generations of his audio processing workstation software of choice, Samplitude Professional.

The latest version is usually a signpost.

V8.0, V10.2.1, V11 etc...
